About PrepRank

PrepRank tracks power rankings for Louisiana high school sports and models what every remaining game means for the playoff picture. Louisiana's playoff seeding depends on results across the whole state — one upset three parishes away can move your team's seed — so we simulate the rest of the season, thousands of times, to show what's actually at stake each week.

We're a family in southeast Louisiana with a player on the field, and PrepRank started as the tool we wanted in the stands: not just a ranking, but the why behind it — what changed, what it means, and what has to happen next.

We hold the model to a public standard: where we publish predictions, we publish how accurate they've been, and sports whose validation isn't finished say so plainly instead of pretending. The full method — and its measured accuracy per sport — is on the Methodology page.
